FinFest 2025: A Look Ahead with Our New Chairs and Reflections on Past Success

We are thrilled to announce our 2025 FinFest Chairs: Marc Grosse & Lisa Ross! Their energy and passion for Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center are truly inspiring. Marc brings a wealth of experience as the former Director of Development for national organizations like March of Dimes and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and after attending FinFest 2024, he immediately understood the dedication required to make it a success.

Lisa, a former educator at Title 1 schools, has seen the critical importance of early intervention for speech and language development. Their personal connection to Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center runs deep: their daughter, Madison, began speech therapy at just 2 ½ years old, and today she proudly works as an SLP-A in our N. Davis clinic. Madison’s passion for her work at Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center inspires Marc and Lisa as they now give back through their leadership.

Looking Back at FinFest 2024:
On Saturday, May 11th, nearly 400 friends and supporters came together at Timuquana Country Club for our annual beachy bash, also celebrating Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center’s 75th anniversary. This unforgettable evening marked CEO Michael Howland’s 11th and final FinFest, with Board Member and Emcee Katie Jeffries leading the festivities. A heartfelt highlight was the special song, “Doors Wide Open,” dedicated to our milestone year by Al Emerick. The Top Secret Band kept the energy high, playing all our favorite tunes throughout the night!

The event’s success was driven by the incredible generosity of our community, featuring nearly 200 silent auction items, which kept guests excited and bidding all night. We’re proud to announce that FinFest 2024 grossed $257,000—funds that will directly support our mission of providing essential hearing, speech, and language services to individuals of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.

We owe much of this success to our 2024 FinFest Chairs John-Paul (JP) & Jennifer Saenz, as well as our Honorary Chairs Captain Matthew & Susan Tuohy, Ken & Liz Babby, Renee Parenteau & Captain James Agee, Cason Schneider & Grayson Eastman, and Artis & Enola Gay Gilmore. Their unwavering support, along with our sponsors, donors, and volunteers, made FinFest 2024 an extraordinary event.

Looking Forward to 2025:
With Marc and Lisa at the helm, FinFest 2025, scheduled for Saturday, May 10th, 2025, promises to be another spectacular evening of community, fun, and impact at Timuquana Country Club.
