Support JSHC This #GivingTuesday (December 1)!
On Tuesday, December 1, the Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center will participate in #GivingTuesday2020, a global day dedicated to giving. This year, our goal is to raise $15,000—funds that will enable us to provide 428 people in our community with speech and hearing screenings. These screenings will provide the basis for individuals with speech, language, and hearing needs to receive the essential care that they require in order to effectively communicate.
And, thanks to generous match dollars from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, you have the opportunity to DOUBLE your impact when you donate here!
Additionally, if 200 donors specifically give on #GivingTuesday (Tuesday, December 1st), we’ll receive $25,000 in bonus funds for our patients! Every gift will help us reach this goal, so please consider the fact that your gift could be the one that provides our patients with $25,000 more worth of care!
For more than 70 years, we’ve provided life-changing services that enable children with speech disorders to start kindergarten on level with their peers, adults with hearing loss to remain active members of the workforce with the help of hearing aids, and veterans to overcome service-related hearing challenges as they transition into civilian life.
We work to care for everyone who needs our help, regardless of ability to pay.
Over the past year, the unique challenges presented by COVID-19 have further emphasized the importance of being able to communicate with the world around us. In a time of physical distancing, the ability to speak and hear is a major component of what keeps us connected. It allows us to express how we’re feeling, listen to others, and be heard within our community.
Help Our #JSHTree Grow!
This year’s #GivingTuesday focuses on the importance of community and how, despite the challenges we face, together we can open a world of communication for those in need.
In the spirit of the giving season, we’ll be creating a virtual giving tree to showcase the collective impact of your giving! With each gift, each donor’s name will be added as a leaf to our virtual #JSHTree to symbolize how shared generosity helps our mission grow stronger.
Updates of the #JSHTree’s progress will be shared on social media throughout the day, and after #GivingTuesday2020 ends, you’ll receive your own copy of our final #JSHTree with your thank you note!
